With a silky and clean body that leads to a chocolate backbone and balanced notes of lime and nougat, La Bolsa is consistently one of our favourite coffees from Guatemala every year. Located in the La Libertad region in Huehuetenango, Finca La Bolsa is situated in high altitude, with plentiful rainfall, abundant shade and moderate temperatures needed to grow exceptional coffee. María Elena’s son Renardo Ovalle and the farm agronomist Mercedes manage La Bolsa and all facets of coffee production with a central goal to produce and export fine coffees and build long term relationships with their partners.
